Klairs is a majorly hyped k-beauty brand so I was so excited to get my skincare obsessed hands on the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop essence serum and Vitamin E mask as part of Megan x Wishtrend’s Rocket Deal! I selected option 2 of the limited time cruelty free rocket deal which was recommended for dull skin.
Besides what I’ll be reviewing, it includes I’m From Rice Toner, By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash, and a free gift of By Wishtrend 70 Multi Function Cotton Pads. For weeks, I’d been searching for the best deal on Klairs serum so I was delighted to find out about this bargain offer which is more value for money than if I had of purchased a Klairs product on its own.
The serum has received raved reviews online and by skincare fanatics. The cult favorite has pure Vitamin C essence, Centella Asiatica extracts(helps reduce redness, inflammation, and increase collagen), Yuzu, and grapefruit extracts. Vitamin C benefits the skin by brightening, radiating, and evening out skin tone. Basically, it should make your skin glow!
Ordinarily Vitamin C products should be kept in a dark container because it reacts with the sun but this serum is contained in a clear bottle. This is because it has been formulated to be stabilized so it does not react to the sun rays, and you can store it anywhere you’d like, conveniently.
It has an oily consistency that isn’t super runny but not very thick. It has a very light citrus scent and feels warm when I rub it into my skin. A little goes a long way! It feels nourishing and softens my face.
How To Use
- Apply 1-2 drops on your face and neck in the morning and evening.
- Spread evenly with your finger tips.
If you have sensitive skin, you can mix this serum with your regular moisturizer or other serums. This serum is such a surprise because it was nothing like I expected! It didn’t smell, feel, spread, or give the results that I would of thought and it’s a huge compliment!
My face looks radiant, dewy, and everything I want my skin to look like. Some people commented on how nice my skin looks(and by some people..I mean.. just my mam..since we still can’t leave the house often). My expectations have been exceeded so I give Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop 5 out of 5. (The holographic rainbow packaging might have helped this score by the way!)
Next up is Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, which confuses me slightly because it acts like a moisturizer and not the traditional accepted concept of a mask. It is rich in Vitamin E which protects skin from damage, strengthens the epidermis barrier, and moisturizes you! Another noteworthy ingredient is Niacinamide. This reduces pores and eases the redness from acne.
On the information section of the packaging, it states that this product “enhances the effects of Vitamin C products”, so it completely makes sense why they look like sisters and have matching “Freshly Juiced Vitamin” names. It’s good to buy these together.
Just like the Vitamin C serum, this moisturizer is full of surprises! As I opened the lid, a wonderful fragrance wafted through the air. What a familiar fragrance but I can not place it! Not overpowering but not too subtle.
To the eye, the white cream looks ordinary but the consistency is very odd. Very similar to jelly, so the spatula included comes in really handy! I tried to put the product onto my face with the spatula but it refused to adhere and fell to the floor. New tactic!
Using the spatula only to scoop the product out of the clear jar and into my hands, I rubbed the product between my fingers to apply to my face. Suddenly, it melts from a jelly-like cream into an oil, then a lotion and your face feels plump! No longer thick. Not sticky but, you know it’s there.
How To Use
- Use the spatula to scoop out the cream onto your hands or face.
- Use your fingers to spread the cream evenly.
Klairs. You guys are full of twists and turns! I do like this moisturizer/mask but I prefer for creams to feel thicker on my face so it gets a 4 out of 5. And no, I’m not going to increase the score just because it has holographic rainbow packaging!
